Lennon was great on the plane! She fell asleep before take off and slept through it. During the flight she ate, slept, and smiled at us. I had my ring sling with me which was great for on the plane. I was able to pop her in there while she slept which gave me free hands to read a magazine. I also changed her diaper in the tiny bathroom which wasn't as bad or as difficult as I thought it would be. She nursed for some of the descent and fell asleep for landing! All in all I'd say it was a very successful first flight! We picked up our three suitcases, car seat, stroller, and bassinet and were off.
Palm Springs is great! It is beautiful and sunny everyday. We've had temps well into the 30s. Our vacation rental is wonderful with a great outdoor space and nice pool. Lennon seems to be just in awe of everything around her. She is constantly looking around with her big, wide eyes and a look of wonder. It's really neat to watch her try to take everything in. I wonder what's going on in that little head!
Lennon had her first swim! The pool is nice and warm so it's perfect for her. Again she had a look of wonder on her face and seemed to like it. She didn't complain at all. The second time I took her in she started kicking her legs and flapping her arms happily. It was really cute!
We've been having a great time so far. We've done some shopping and hit the outlet mall of course. Yesterday we drove out to Laguna Beach on the coast. It was beautiful there. We did a walk on the boardwalk, dipped our feet in the ocean (cold!), had a nice lunch and walked through the town. It's a really nice spot. The beach is quite beautiful there. We didn't put Lennon in the ocean. It was too cold and she was sleeping soundly on me in her carrier. Next time we're near the coast we'll have to see what she thinks!
The rest of the week will be more pool time, touring around the area and just enjoying the warmth and sun. We go back home on Saturday and of course they're calling for snow that day.
Pics of our trip will have to follow next week when we're back home.
